Red, Red Wall

Traffic People and their brand, designs, fits, and silhouettes never fail to absolutely blow us away. We appreciate how they effortlessly throw an edgy spin on an otherwise semi-predictable classic. Take the LBD (little black dress) for example. Classic and timeless. You can embody all the wonderful qualities of the LBD by incorporating an all-black color palette with the added interest of this beautiful bow detail and leather midi skirt. Leave it to Traffic People to challenge your style staples while still being completely approachable and chic. And what goes better with black head-to-toe than gold statement jewelry? When your outfit is all the same color or shade, you can really add some dimension with your accessories. Alexandra Scarlett utilizes shapes, patterns, and angles beautifully in her pieces which makes them stand-out. From the office to a night out – these elevate your look for any occasion.

Ark & WHOAH

Happy Spring! Monday was the official first day of Spring, but to be honest we have been enjoying the spring-like temperatures and showers for awhile. And with Spring officially among us comes Spring weddings, holidays, and special occasions. We love that this dress from Ark & Co seems to have the fresh buds of spring woven into every inch. This dress can stand alone at any outdoor get together and depending on shoes and accessories can easily be dressed up or down. We love the hint of metallic thread that catches the light (because trust us, you’re going to want to twirl in this one!)

Blooms

Now is the beloved time of year where we flirt with warmer weather and on most mornings you can hear a choir of birds from your window. Spring is definitely on its way, and what better way to welcome the season than with this gorgeous floral maxi dress! There’s not much better than a dress that can stand out on its own. We love the delicate floral pattern throughout- yet it still totally makes a statement! We juxtapose this colorful classic with this amazing fringe leather tote bag. Delicate, brass-toned jewelry really compliment the colorful print of this dress. With this look, you can effortlessly toss a little spring in your step (and your wardrobe)!

S.O.S

Sometimes with fashion and putting together an outfit outside of your routine uniform, it means putting together pieces you wouldn’t think would go together. Utilizing different textures and fabrics within the same look adds interest and depth. We are loving this look styled with a chunky knit sweater and lovely emerald skirt. While it may not be instinctual to have these two items together, you can see these opposites really play off each other in creating a cohesive look. If you’re trying out this trend for the first time, keeping each piece in the same color family may help add some comfort and congruence. Too cold for bare legs? Add some tights or a neutral sock and you are weather-ready!

Styling Piko Top for Spring

Styling your Piko Tunic Dress

There’s more than one way to wear our best-selling Piko Tunic Dress. We are loving the look of layering a pair of colorful shorts like these Etoile Print darlings from Gentle Fawn underneath; with a casual side tuck for a little peek-a-boo effect. You can always wear your Piko shirts with leggings or jeans, but give this idea a try… you can thank us later.

Styling Piko Top for Spring

Piko Tunic Dress in Black – $40
Etoile Print Shorts, Gentle Fawn – $73
Playtime Pumps in Yellow, Seychelles – $92
Feline Sunnies in Black, AJ Morgan – $12

The Piko top and sunnies are also in our online shop.

A little more about Piko Shirts

These are oversized, boxy tops in a medium-weight knit, featuring drop shoulder seaming and long fitted sleeves. 95% bamboo, 5% spandex. Piko shirts’ fabric feel great in the hand and on the body. The bamboo/spandex blend makes them super-soft and gives a slight bounce with movement. The wide neckline looks chic worn off the shoulder a little or layered with necklaces and scarves. We carry a large range of colors from the popular black, grey, cream, and red to our new line of spring colors – aqua, bamboo, lilac, coral, and teal. View them all in our online Piko shop.

Black Piko Shirts

Caring for Piko Tops.

The tag suggests to machine wash and tumble dry low, but we Minxies have been wearing these Piko shirts for years and can tell you that laying them flat to dry will extend the lifetime of these babies. We fold them in thirds with the sleeves straightened out and tuck them away in a drawer or shelf. Hanging them up will warp the shape in an unsatisfactory way.
