Around Minx, the office “dress code” is a challenge we enthusiastically accept. Our workplace is often a showcase of the latest trends, favorite designers, and new acquisitions- the perfect place to show off our individual style among like-minded fashionistas. Our office is always pushing the limits of work-wear (tutu’s and motorcycle jackets on a Monday? How better to start the week!), but, like any workplace, there are certain standards to uphold.
Even though dressing in our frilliest, sexiest, most fashion-y fashion will always be fun, the workplace often calls for something else. Maybe your 9-5 isn’t the runway for sequined tuxedo pants and leather t-shirts, but does that mean that you can’t look forward to getting dressed for work? Why has dressing for success come to mean bland basics and stuffy suits?
Guess what? There is another way!
We’re always on the lookout for unusual basics and clever staples- familiar silhouettes with a bit of personality.
Bored of your blouses? How about a beautiful (and office appropriate) silk T-shirt? Over your outerwear? Switch things up with a longer blazer! Whether your office is an ultra-conservative operation, or a little more relaxed, updated basics are an easy way to liven up your look and allow your personality to peek through!
